If you every have to read the book "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers" by Goethe (because why not, teachers have a talent to torture students...) run! Run and never ever look back since it's the most depressing shit ever.
I'm not one of these persons who get really sad from a book but this is just not okay! They are reading over 17 pages in a book about dying and the main character is depressed himself! Just! NO! What use has it to read such a book for school? Why can't we just read something... nice? Nothing about suicide, depression and sad-forbidden love? urght... I just finished the movie/mini-series "Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter" (I think the international title is "Generation War" but I'm not sure...)
And my result is: watch it! just watch it, it is fantastic
Usually the most say German movies aren't that good since they always care more about to make no logical or knowledge mistakes as making a good movie... (disagree at this point since it's freaking annoying to watch a movie and count the mistakes since the makers don't seem to know anything about the theme)
But back to the show!
Basically it's about five friends getting separated by the WW2 and then follows their different ways.
